I'm sure it's no secret HoF is my favorite, it's the subject of three of my ToG papercrafts. There's so many scenes I could have chosen, but I knew that I definitely wanted to showcase the Mistward forest and the magical ambience it has in my mind. The whole book is a comfort read for me.
But Celaena and Rowan's pose here is from a different scene, when Rowan takes the blood oath with Celaena. (this is another situation where it's a bit awkward without context - did the lady with the knife just carve up the dude's back and now he's begging for more? 😂). I thought by transplanting them back into the forest, it was symbolically blocking out everything around them, back to the place they started, trained and bonded.
There were so many peak scenes for me in HoF, but this one was *the* 'kiss scene' we were waiting for through that entire journey. Some may say their first kiss was in Queen of Shadows; their marriage in Empire of Storms.
Naw, dawg. It was this scene. All of that. ✋😤
