So excited to reveal this latest papercraft, inspired by The Orphan's Code by @authorcrrhillin! This was such a fun project, even more so that many of you joined the live streams of its production from scratch here on IG!
I was graciously sent a copy of this book last year in order to prep for this papercraft, and it was such a fun ride! I likened it to a mix of Assassin's Creed with a touch of Final Fantasy. It has a rich Italian Renaissance inspired setting, a thrilling political murder plot, rogue, Robin Hood-esque rebels, and an entire colorful cast of characters - my cup of tea! That first chapter alone had me hooked!
This papercraft was inspired by a scene between the two leads, where Rose is repremanding Kayo for always 'Shooting for the Moon', ie. Trying too hard to accomplish something that can almost always be impossible to accomplish. This was so descriptive of Kayo's ambitions in his role, but also highlighted the tense relationship these two have. Kayo is seen here trying too hard to romance Rose in the wrong way, shooting rose stems up at her, where she sits on their hideout's tower in front of the moon (shooting for the moon). Such a fun little nod to different scenes in the book!
I'm super excited to continue with the sequel, and encourage you all to check it out!
